new stuff, crochet hat and a child's craft rage.

finally back into the swing of crafting after the holidays!  got four new bracelets up in the shop for you lovelies to look at (and maybe buy!)

i actually made this hat for myself this fall, just to see if i could do it!  then i made a smaller one for bug for christmas and promptly forgot about it, so i gave it to her a few days late.  my bad.  sadly, the kid size of the pattern i used was still to small!  i had to keep adding on to this one (which was already the large size) to get it to fit me and it still fits bug perfectly!  she's so cute in it!  i also gave her the smaller hat (which is the same as this one, only pink base/green trim) to put on one of her dolls or something.  she had her squirrel puppet wearing it for a while.  she's so silly.  :P

also, on the subject of crafts, i wish we could have been recording bug's fit of craft rage for the blog!  she has a foam polar bear kit, you know, that has the pieces and you just put them together?  apparently they didn't have the adhesive on them like most of those things do, so she couldn't figure out how to put it together, so she raged until we found some glue.  after that she raged because she lost one of his eyes (running around crying and yelling 'i guess he's just gonna be a one eyed bear!!') and finally mom just put it together.  she then took the final project and presented it to dad as if nothing had ever happened.  a classic episode of craft rage if i have ever seen it.

i was also raging the other day, though.  i wanted to make one of the slouchy crochet berets like the ones we sell at spencers, but couldn't find a suitable pattern.  i thought i could just wing it, but that didn't work either.  D:  and not that i don't love my place of employment, but i'm not paying fifteen dollars for some simple crochet, i'll figure it out eventually.

a late night bugglette's blog!

yes, so very late!

with christmas right around the corner, there isn't too much time for crafting, sadly.  did manage to get a bracelet made yesterday night as a gift for a family member while mandy managed to crank out another bugglettes bracelet (the ones with the ladybugs are called bugglettes in case you were confused).  it's really cute, used some of the new buttons we got super cheap on the ebay.  it's so cute mandy wanted to keep it, but it will be in the shop sometime soon if anybody is interested!

also got our order of toddler bracelets out to my mom's friend, it's the most we've made so far on our stuff!  we celebrated with taco bell, cuz we're cool like that.  :P

mandy apparently learned how to make super big bow headbands, too.  i've also been trying to figure out how to crochet flowers, so if those come out nicely we may be able to make some stuff with those, too!  we're also gonna try to get the sewing machine fixed after christmas.  i've learned a simple fleece hat pattern and i can't wait to make some hats with cute button eyes!  i already have an awesome bunny in mind, but it depends on if i actually know how to use a sewing machine or not.  i don't think i do.  but nothing a little practice can't fix!

bugglette's etsy shop is up!

that's right, people!  if you haven't been paying attention to the facebook, our etsy shop is up and running much earlier than expected!  we even made our first sale within hours of being open!  it was so exciting!

we've added two new bracelets today and started our hair bows section, so if you love super cute hair accessories, ours or the cutest hair bows made by adorable chubby girls in ever!

i must say also, i did have a small feeling of crafting rage last night.  had to make a tiny button bracelet for one of bug's little friends.  technically, mom was supposed to make it but didn't, so it fell to me.  so that bracelet may have had just a tiny bit of hate in it, just because i was tired from work (didn't get off till 10:30) and didn't feel like button-ing.  but it was for a little girl, so i tried to keep the hate to a minimum.  i did use some of the awesome orange and pink buttons from the mix that i used on the orange sherbet bracelet, i was saving those, but my dude is going to get me some more.  plus, he bought us three bags of a mix called 'citrus'.  it sounds awesome and citrus-y.  can't wait to see what i can make with them!

even though they do sound more like a mom-mix.  have you seen 'magic school bus on the beach'?  that was mom.  mom makes psychadelic bracelets, so she'll probably get the largest chunk of those.  :3

about the bugglette's blog.

my all time favorite dude was confused as to why our internet shop needs a blog (which will be up and running hopefully by the end of the month), so i thought i would address it in case anybody else was confuzzled.  

this is the portal of bugglettes.  the blog links to the shop (or it will once there is one) and it links to the facebook page (because everybody has one of those, and i don't like to feel left out).  but it's also a craft blog, where me and my sister can post works-in-progress, things we made that aren't for sale and vent our craft rage.

i mean, really.  have you ever felt craft rage?  where you're stabbing yourself in the thumb with the needle and your button flies across the room or it turns out that several buttons you had already sewn on are actually the wrong color when viewed the proper light?  that feeling is craft rage, my friends.  and craft rage needs to be vented lest somebody get hurt.  with a needle.  and a button.  and maybe a hot glue gun.

so yes.  the blog is for crafty bugglette adventures.  the shop is really just the checkout line.  and the facebook is just the facebook.  why do we need a facebook?  we probably don't, but now more people know about bugglette's so i guess that's all that matters.

welcome to the bugglette's blog!

bugglette is one of my little sisters many nicknames, and so adorable that we're labeling our brand and our online shop as bugglette's!  

the shop isn't online yet, but you'll find out first here and on our facebook page.  we're trying to build our inventory before we start selling.  right now we're at about sixteen button bracelets ready to sell, but in the future expect hair bows, necklaces, earrings and maybe even crochet products!  it all depends on if we've given ourselves carpal tunnel by then. . .

bugglette's is powered by the ponce family, namely myself (tiffani:  specializes in button adhesion, crochet hooking, and designing the graphics for the blog and the internet), my older sister (mandy:  specializes in button adhesion, bow crafting and apparently taking better pictures of our products than me), and my mommy (lori:  specializes in button adhesion and keeping the bracelets instead of adding them to our inventory).

expect rapid changes to this blog, i'm still working on the layout and adding additional pages and making the images fit where i want them to.  D:
